Dylan McHale, 22, of North Scranton, died Thursday, May 7, at home. He was the loving son of Tarra Wandell of Scranton and William McHale of Larksville.
Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Dylan was a graduate of the Monticello Alternative School in Dickson City and was employed by the Petro Station in Pittston.
Dylan was a loving father, son, brother, stepson, nephew, and friend. His protective nature and quiet strength were deeply felt by those who loved him most. Though his time here was far too short, his family will carry his memory with them always — forever 22.
In addition to his parents, Dylan leaves behind his two-year-old son, Sekani; four sisters, Aliyah, Ashlee, Gabriella, and Asia; his stepfather, Mark Wandell; his aunts and uncles, including Crystal Glover and Melissa Stewart; and several cousins, especially his cousin Joey, with whom he shared a special bond; and friends.
His grandmother, the late Veronica Stewart, with whom he shared a special bond, preceded him in death in 2022. He was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Helen McHale; his grandfather, William Tier; and his grandfather, Joseph McHale.
The funeral will be Thursday, May 14, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Neil W. Regan Funeral Home Inc., 1900 Pittston Ave., Scranton. Friends and family may call from 6 to 7:30 p.m. A memorial service to honor Dylan, with opportunities for family and friends to share memories of him, will begin promptly at 7:30 p.m.
A burnout rally to honor Dylan's love of racing will be Sunday, May 17, from 3-6 p.m. at 2402 North Main Ave., Scranton.
