Patrick Regan, 78, of the Bellevue section of Scranton, died Sunday at Allied Services Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Scranton, he was a son of the late James and Helen Thuran Regan. His wife of 44 years, the former Marcia Mallory, preceded him in death in 2019. A 1962 graduate of West Scranton High School, Patrick was a member of Holy Cross Parish until its closing and a railroad worker prior to retirement.
Patrick was a gifted basketball player in his youth and an avid golfer who loved to travel.
He is survived by a son, PJ and wife, Chris (Texas); a twin brother, James and wife, Sheila, of Ohio; and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Molly Mahoney; and a brother, Michael J. Regan Sr.
In accordance with his wishes, Patrick has been cremated. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Jan. 30, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel, followed by private interment at Cathedral Cemetery.
