Anthony Grandinette Sr. of Scranton died peacefully Tuesday.

Born Feb. 20, 1939, son of the late Carmella Alu and Frank Grandinette, Anthony was a graduate of Dunmore High School and an avid Dunmore Bucks fan. He also loved to hang out at the coffee shop and visit with friends. Before retirement, Anthony worked for 40 years at HarperCollins Publishers formerly Harper & Row. After retirement he also worked as a crossing guard for the Scranton School District.

Anthony was a devout Catholic whose smile was contagious. He had a love of sports, especially the N.Y. Giants and N.Y. Yankees. We know that he will also be cheering on the Dunmore Bucks from the best seat in the house.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Linwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where he spent his last months getting to know the staff and residents who became his friends, and also Compassionate Care Hospice for the excellent care provided to our father.
