Nancy M. Estadt, 93, of Reading, Pennsylvania, formerly of Johnstown, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026, at The Residence at Village Greens in Sinking Spring, following a brief illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Nancy was the wife of the late Gary J. Estadt, who passed on April 2, 2011, after 50 years of marriage. Throughout their life together, she was a loving wife, wholeheartedly supporting Gary during his years as Superintendent of the Westmont Hilltop School District.
Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, on July 2, 1933, Nancy was the daughter of the late John P. and Hope (Colley) Moran. She grew up in a large, loving Irish "Moran Clan." Being surrounded by family, celebrating life's moments and the deep love they shared, was one of the greatest joys of her life.
She was a graduate of Scranton Central High School and Bloomsburg University, where she earned a degree in business education. Nancy taught high school in various schools throughout Pennsylvania and made a tremendous impact on many students over the years.
Nancy's relationship with the Lord was of the greatest importance in her life. Through her compassionate heart, ministry, and steadfast belief in His promises, His love reached all who knew her. She treasured her time studying, learning, and researching topics of interest to her and loved ones.
Nancy was an active member of the Christian community, including Women's Aglow, often leading Bible studies, attending conferences, and guest speaking. A true servant of the Lord, Nancy leaves us all with a legacy of faith, hope, and unconditional love.
Nancy is survived by her son, Robert; her daughter, Jennifer McLaughlin (Michael); her daughter, Susan Picking (Daniel); six grandchildren Jake, John, Bo, Megan, Sean, and Jeffrey; her sisters-in-law, Morna Moran and Patricia Estadt; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
In addition to her loving husband, Gary, Nancy was preceded in death by brothers Jack (Marie) and Bob; sisters Dot (Zeke), Barb (Neil), Jane, and Lois (John); brothers-in-law Leo and Dan (Mame); and many dear nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Saturday, October 3, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, 1217 Prospect Avenue, Scranton. Interment will follow at St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow. Friends may call Friday, October 2, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Neil W. Regan Funeral Home, 1900 Pittston Avenue, Scranton, PA 18505.
