Joan L. Maxson Camp- bell, 91, of Olyphant, died Thursday, Feb. 12 at Carbondale Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Her husband of 47 years is Frank Campbell.
Born in Scranton, Joan was a daughter of the late Herbert and Gertrude Maxson, and a 1953 graduate of West Scranton High School. For 46 years, she was employed in the sales office of Scranton Lace Corporation.
Quiet and fun-loving, Joan also enjoyed painting ceramics. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by those who knew her.
Also surviving are a sister, Diane Newman, Bellingham, MA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Morgan, Warren, Norman, and Herbert.
A blessing service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m. at the Neil W. Regan Funeral Home Inc., 1900 Pittston Ave., followed by interment in Cathedral Cemetery.
