Lawrence Thomas "Larry" Miner, Jr., 74, passed away on March 15, 2025, in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Born on September 9, 1950, in Scranton, Larry was the son on the late Lawrence and Elizabeth Miner. Larry dedicated his life to education and the betterment of young minds. He began his career as an English teacher in the Pennsylvania public school system before transitioning into leadership as an elementary school principal. His passion for education extended beyond the classroom—he also served as a basketball and baseball coach as well as a school athletic director for Mid Valley School District, shaping not only students' academic journeys but also their athletic and personal growth.

Larry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marilyn, who passed away in 2016. He is survived by his sons, Larry of Houston, TX, and Mark and his wife Kari of Tiverton, RI; his sisters, Nancy Rose and Eileen Miner; and his brother, Tommy Miner.
