Loretta Cecci, 93, a lifelong resident of South Scranton, died Thursday at Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center.
Born in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late Ovidio and Alice Verbisky Cecci. Loretta was educated in Scranton schools and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church before its closing. For over 30 years, she was employed at Clarks Summit State Hospital as an administrative assistant. She shared a special bond with her younger sister, Frances "Kiki" Cecci, who also worked at Clarks Summit State Hospital for many years. Loretta's quiet demeanor complimented her sister's more outgoing and social nature, and the two were often inseparable. She will also be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her cousins and other extended family.
In addition to her sister, Frances "Kiki" Cecci, Loretta is survived by many beloved cousins.
