Robert Cianfichi, 67, of South Scranton died Tuesday, July 2. Born in Scranton, he was a son of the late Daro and Irene Agostinelli Cianfichi.
A graduate of Scranton Preparatory School, he attended Penn State University and was a graduate of Marywood University, where he studied marketing.
For 40 years, Bob owned and operated Biz Gifts, where he provided custom screen-printed merchandise to the University of Scranton, as well as many local businesses. As a devoted Catholic, he frequently attended Mass at St. Peter's Cathedral, and always made time to attend the annual Novena at St. Ann's Basilica. For many years, he was also involved in the Teen Mercy youth group.
Bob enjoyed listening to music and traveling, especially to Atlantic City, Myrtle Beach, Las Vegas, and throughout Florida. Known for his generosity and selflessness, Bob will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered, by his family and friends.
Surviving are a brother, Bill and wife, Mary; as well as cousins, including Joe Agostinelli.
The funeral will be Monday, with Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul of the Cross Church, 1217 Prospect Ave., to be celebrated by The Rev. John Rozembajgier, JCL. Interment will be private. Friends may call Monday, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Prior to Mass, words of remembrance will be spoken at 10:30 by Richard Bradshaw.
