Mary Gen Lowry, 79, of Dunmore entered into eternal peace with her lord on Saturday, Jan. 6. She was surrounded by love and her family who held her hand as she departed this earthly life. We know she is rejoicing as she is at peace with her three sons.
Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late James Tigue Sr. and Mary Burke Tigue. With a heart full of love and a nurturing mind, she became a nurse. She was proud of her work as an ICU nurse and aiding those in mental health.
Marygen was a courageous woman who was selflessly devoted to her family. She was a leader. A born caretaker with encyclopedic medical knowledge, Marygen's main focus in life was to nurture those she loved. She a protective warrior who always fought for what was right. Marygen loved spending time with her family, trips to the beach, warm weather, dancing and socializing. She enjoyed learning new skills such as cake decorating. She had a compassion for animals. She enjoyed socializing, spending time and laughing with loved ones. Marygen loved to be on the go.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be tremendously missed. She had a mothering soul. She was her family's figure of love, support, hope, guidance and help. No matter the circumstance, she was a problem solver for all. She had the ability to anticipate her family's needs and did all she could to do right by them.
