Donald H. Brennan, Pre-arranged Funerals, Neil Regan Funeral Home, Scranton, PA

Donald H. Brennan, 87, died Monday at home. His wife, the former Josephine Abbott, died in 2017.

Born in Scranton, son of the late Harold and Helen Taugher Brennan, he was a graduate of South Catholic High School and a member of St. John Neumann Parish. A United States Navy veteran, he was employed by U.S. Air for more than 30 years. After his retirement from U.S. Air, he worked for Glenmaura National Golf Club, where he was well known, for an additional 30 years.

Donald was a loving husband and father, and a proud grandfather who enjoyed attending his grandsons' baseball games. He loved golfing and traveling, was proud of his Irish heritage and was an avid Boston Red Sox and Notre Dame fan. He will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children, Don Jr. and Kelly Ann Brennan, both of Scranton; three grandsons, Cole Brennan, Dominick Brazil and Ian Koehler and two granddaughters, Riley Caitlin and Chelsea Grace Brennan, all of Scranton; and a sister, Mary Ann Ferrero, Delaware.

In accordance with his wishes, he has been cremated. The funeral will be Tuesday with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Nativity of Our Lord Church, 633 Orchard St., to be celebrated by the Rev. Jonathan Kuhar, followed by interment at Cathedral Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 9 to 10 a.m. before Mass at the church.

Arrangements, Neil W. Regan Funeral Home Inc., 1900 Pittston Ave., Scranton PA 18505. To leave email condolences, please visit the funeral home website.
