Ann M. Lalley, 89, of Scranton, passed away peacefully Sept. 26, after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Paul F. Lalley.

Ann was the daughter of the late Thomas and Hilda Albrecht Mangan and the sister of the late Jeanne (Jack) McLane. She was a 1949 graduate of South Scranton Central Catholic High School and worked for the Bell Telephone Company prior to starting her family.

Ann's life was her family. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She and Paul instilled a strong sense of family and faith in their children.

Ann and her husband were lifelong members and volunteer workers of St. John the Evangelist Parish in South Scranton and were faithful parishioners of St. Paul of the Cross Parish after the parishes merged.

She is survived by her five children and their spouses, Mary Clare and Jake Swarts, Scranton; Denise and Thomas Kwiatkowski, Bradley, N.J.; Paul and Karen Lalley, Cary, N.C.; Catherine and the late Kevin May, Roaring Brook Twp.; Thomas and Patricia Lalley, Silver Spring, Md.

She is survived by 13 grandchildren, John and Alissa Swarts, Jennifer and Ron Honick, Matthew Swarts, Elizabeth and Michael Reilly, Sarah and Paul Ramaley, Maggie and Steve Hernandez, Caitlin and Nicholas Annese, Ashleigh and Royce Hansen, Colin and Grace Lalley, Thomas and Maya May, Patrick May, Joseph and Arielle May, Eamon Lalley.

Her 14 great grandchildren are Carson, Gavin, Rhys and Ellie Honick, Madeleine and Bridget Swarts, Emma, Meghan and Allison Reilly, Brian, Julia and Sophia Hernandez, Thomas and Joseph Hansen. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Dennis Lalley; and sister-in-law, Judy Lalley; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Ann's family would like to thank Dr. Kenneth Sebastianelli for the many years of compassionate care he provided to both Ann and Paul.

Visitation will be held from Neil W. Regan Funeral Home, 1900 Pittston Ave., Scranton, on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial from St. Paul of the Cross Parish at Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary Church, 1512 Prospect Ave., Scranton, will be conducted on Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

The family asks that everyone attending both the visitation and Mass wear masks.
